After a mostly sleepless night (average seems to have been about 4 1/2 hours of poor sleep) the 5 busses (250ish kids) we arrived early to the campus of Concordia University-Texas in Austin. Unfortunately, since we were early we had to wait an hour for breakfast which was scheduled at 7:30. Some of us played early morning frisbee and Amanda von helped teach us to be aware of the fire ants.
Though we had a wait for breakfast, when it did finally come we were not disappointed. Concordia treated us to a Full buffet and all for free. Following breakfast we had the opportunity to see the new campus at Concordia. I imagine for most of our kids it was their first college visit, so maybe we got them thinking.
We loaded the bus back up around 9:00 and started on the final leg of the journey. Most of us are in good spirits but could use a double dose of prayer today for some sort of divine energy boost.
So happy you've all arrived safe and sound! Have a great time. Love from us all in Wamego/Manhattan/St. George!
